Senior Dynamics NAV Developer Jobs

Summary The Senior Developer/Analyst’s primary responsibility is to perform development activities for existing Microsoft Dynamics NAV customers in the US. The primary focuses will be Dynamics NAV development, with additional activities using SQL and .NET, and creating integrations to Dynamics NAV. As part of the citFOOD team, the senior developer/analyst will also participate in the customization of Columbus IT’s citFOOD software product with additional support during development, testing, quality assurance and implementation phases.

Duties & Responsibilities
· Configure, develop and implement MS Dynamics Navision software and components in all functional areas
· Create new and modify existing customizations as requested by customer
· Perform data conversions, debug system problems and craft resolutions
· Installation and implementation of service packs and hot fixes as needed
· Technical liaison to business groups for application support
· Leverage understanding of ERP systems to drive functional improvements and identify areas for process development
· Test functionality developed by the implementation team against business requirements
· Support and drive change process and communication
· Coordinate and contribute to end-user training including development of system documentation and training materials
· Assist in functional specification of customizations required for Navision implementations
Provide pre-go-live and post-go-live end user support

Credentials & Experience
· College degree in a related discipline strongly desired
· Professional certification and accreditation strongly recommended or equivalent work experience
· Microsoft Dynamics Navision certification(s) in related discipline a plus
· Minimum 5 years hands on experience with full life cycle implementations
· 5 or more years experience as a software developer specifically working with NAV C/SIDE
Role tailored client development experience (including page and report development in Visual Studio)
SQL Experience a plus
· 3 or more years industry experience recommended
· Experience working with common third party add-on solutions and their integration with MS NAV highly desired

· Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization
· Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives with little supervision
Ability to handle and resolve conflict

Special Requirements
· Willing to work overtime as needed and requested
· Travel requirements may vary depending on customer needs, 25% travel should be expected
